Prologue: The Prophecy In ancient times, it was said that a great power would arise, a power that would bring magic back to the forefront of the worlds. It was said that this power would be born of lightning and fire and that it would be wielded by a mage of great strength and courage. The world would face great upheaval and danger, but magic would be the key to survival. There will come those who will unite the kingdoms and empires, and they will bring an end to the darkness that has long shadowed the land. It was said that these mages would be the saviour of the worlds and that they would bring hope and light to all. But for many years, the prophecy remained unfulfilled. Magic seemed to be ending, few remained that could wield it. The darkness seemed to grow. The people slowly forgot and those that remembered lost hope, the kingdoms and empires fell and changed and with it brought chaos. But then, one day, a young girl was born in a small village far from the capital. She was born under the sign of lightning, and she had the power of magic within her. And so, the prophecy began. The first of them had arisen, and the journey to bring magic back had begun.

A Time Traveling Fairytale
Fate leads those who are willing but must push those who are not. One might interpret this saying a bit too literal. After all, Elena did end up on the bottom of a hill in the middle of a forest, suffering several injuries. But do not worry, fate loves a rebel and has something magical stored for our sarcastic heroine. Time travel. An adventure in the 16th century was not something our main character had in mind, but when her path is built with music and joy, it can't be that bad, right? Oh, who am I kidding. . . At first glance, it seemed to be the perfect fairytale for our main character; being able to experience the medieval time and be surrounded by enchantment wherever she went. She even meets a monk, blessed with the gift of music, who shares her passion and is willing to teach Elena the secrets of the piano. It's perfect. But it was only the tip of the iceberg. Elena's piece of tranquility is broken when she stumbles into another mess, leaving her caged and alone in the forest. Fortunately for our heroine, a prince crosses her path, helping her in her need. One might see this as the Universe's way for entertainment, or the fate's bizarre tactics to bring people together. Whatever it might be, it did not stop Elena from catching the eye of the prince of a powerful kingdom. Before anyone knows what's even happening, they're caught in the middle of it all; like a cat trapped in a yarn. After all, even the stone you trip on is a part of your destiny. What happens when the Universe, and basically everything between hell and heaven, is against you? Simple: it's a journey filled with unforgettable events. As she navigates the elven world of Earthe with the help of a particularly attractive elf boy, she learns secrets about her identity and her father's, of whom she believed had ditched her and her mom at an early age. Soon Mia discovers that peace isn't as easy as it seems, and while Earthe may be beautiful, there are dark parts that are creeping back to the light. Even in a world of perfect beings such as elves, lies can be spun as precisely as an arrow can pierce a target, and evil can sneak up on you when you least expect it. Mia is used to reading about this kind of stuff, not living it. Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing.
