Eddie Kaspbrak is a 15-year-old teenager with asthma and an overbearing mother. For as long as he could remember, he always kept his feelings and emotions close to his heart, especially fear. That one word that impacted his life forever, fear. When a pale-skinned, dark-haired, somewhat entity of dreams crawled into his life, (crawled under his bed that is) he felt his emotions spiral out of control. He wondered how and why this boy was under his bed. But, in a short time, he began to get used to the boy. He started to feel more for the boy. The boy he called Richie. He didn't know what his friends would think though. How far would Eddie go to hide his secret? And how far would Eddie go to protect Richie?
