The year is 2433, nearly two centuries since the chemical event in the 2200s that sent the world into an apocalypse. By now, most of the world has well established cities where before, there was nothing. Corrupt governments are unheard of in the biggest and most technologically advanced cities, as it was corruption that caused the disaster that has left the radiation that still pervades the old industrial centers, marked with the distinct colors of toxic smoke and fog. And though the world has found civilization once again, Nora and Indigo have grown and lived in a nomadic community. But now they have to make it alone. Armed with what they've each learned over the years, they'll have to navigate secrets, danger, corruption only ever seen in ancient black and white films, and who they think they're supposed to be. Neither one even twenty-five years old, Nora and Indigo are ready to face the worst challenge of their lives, will they escape the past they never knew about? Or will they fall under the pressure and succumb to thoughts they can't escape?

I'm the crew's problem solver-the one they send on the hardest jobs. To them, I'm fearless, strong, unshakable. But the truth? I'm a coward, hiding secrets I pray no one ever uncovers. Everyone knows I'm terrified of the Zohra, the horned aliens that send chills down my spine. Yet, in a reckless moment, I agree to stay with the crew-near them. But my personal fears don't matter when a bigger threat emerges, one that could destroy everything. The mission takes us to my hometown, to a hidden lab filled with memories I swore I'd never face. And worse? I'm stuck infiltrating it with Harwal-a Zohra who reminds me of the monster that's haunted me for years. Surviving the mission is one thing. Surviving him-and the way he makes me feel-is another.
