The Ghosts of War is a prequel and pilot of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first book on where Halo Combat Evolved takes place. DISCLAIMOR: I do not own Halo and the intellectual property belongs to Bungie, Microsoft and 343 Industries. This is for fun, and not making any form of profit of this story. In this story it bounces from Johns character to Memphis's character throughout. It's about Halo. Memphis is a twelve year old girl in a world of war. Her parents were killed in a fire caused by a permethian attack. She lived in six foster homes for four years. UNSC found her listening to music in a tree at twelve, she's the newest recruit, and UNSC is making her a super soldier to help fight the war. Will she survive the war, or her teammates? Johns parents died in a car crash caused by a covenant attack when John was eight. He spent two years of his life in four foster homes. UNSC found him at ten climbing a dangerously tall tree. And does their best to survive against the Covenant with the surviving crew of the ship on the unknown world. During such survival of the crew and soldiers of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, a big mystery slowly unveils on the ring. As if they're not alone and Captain Jacob Keyes, Master Chief, Cortana, and the Lieutenant to lead the way and possibly escape with their fellow men and women in arms The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. Reach for Halo
My first ever shooter game was Halo 3 and it opened my eyes to the potential all games held. Nearly every day, I'd spend my time playing Halo 3 until I could buy the other games. It was safe to say I had become a big fan of the series. And then one day when I was still just a kid, I made a wish. A wish that I could be apart of the story. I guess that's why you should be careful for what you wish for.
