War steals that which we want most to keep safe. And for those who live on the isles of the Everblue, the fear of war has rooted itself deep within their hearts and stalked the edges of their dreams.

For Evan Montresser, that fear hasn't taken hold in his heart. Instead, it has always been his dream to become a Leaf of the Alliance and pilot an airship to guard people from that fear. Claire, Evan's older sister and already a pilot, wants to keep him as far from the military and brewing war as possible. But when a mysterious girl with crystals embedded into her wrists falls onto Evan's airship, Evan and Claire find themselves thrown into a chain of events that will bring them to the center of the Everblue sky, and the reason their fragmented world is tearing itself further apart. What role does this girl play in the destruction of Evan and Claire's world, and why is the Empire willing to start a war just to kill her?

They're about to find out.

Her mother transfigured her into a boy to keep her safe, then abandoned her in San Francisco. The last thing her mother said, was that if she could wait four years, everything would be fine. In two more weeks, she'll be eighteen and everything is NOT FINE! She has been framed, kidnapped, and taken to the Fae world where she'll have to take a series of trials to prove that she is good enough to be queen. It turns out her Mom was the Faerie Queen. She has no choice - if she doesn't do it, her friends will die. Oh, and she'll have to explain to her three friends just why their good pal Matt is suddenly a girl. Plus, there's another problem - she's been forced into an arranged marriage with not just one but seven men. And guess what? Three of the men are her friends! 100,000 or so words. Editing complete.
