Trishna

Set in the Indian Himalaya, Trishna (completed) is a fast-moving tale of power, lust and longing.

Its narrator is Harinder, a happily-married young executive, seemingly content with his humdrum existence and looking forward to his first child.

Until he meets Trishna, a sixteen-year-old, barely literate orphan. Trishna is young, needy, vulnerable. She is also direct & charismatic and Harinder is both intrigued attracted to her, but knows he can not risk the dangerous dalliance.

Then destiny pushes him across the divide hurtling him into a primal world beyond his comprehension as he fights for Trishna, for his life & finally whatever little he might salvage.
