The Etherious were once a race of beings in Ivelas that were created by the gods in order to protect the various races of mortals. Much like mortals, the Etherious are restricted to one element. However they have markings on their skin that resonate with their element, making them surpass all other living creatures in terms of raw magic power.
As the mortal races developed their abilities the Etherious began to pull back their protection, knowing they were no longer needed. However mortals began to hunt the Etherious, seeking to claim the marking for themselves in order to become more powerful. Eventually the Etherious were hunted to near extinction, until only one Etherious remained

Repopulating Uvis
Our planet had been on the way to destruction same as many others. However, we were able to turn it around but not without major irreversible genetic damage. It had been many years since a new female has been born on Uvis. We had set out and tried many other planets to find suitable breedable females. After much testing only one planet would work. Gaia or as the inhabitants called it Earth. We had been testing certain ones quietly. Working with their planet's leaders for a few years and have gotten the okay to reach out to the females of this planet. Everything was fine one day the next we kept losing power and then the announcements form the leaders and from an actual freaking alien! The offer was a good one for some, but could they be trusted? What would happen to the women who went to Uvis would they be treated well? Was it just a way to reduce the Earth's population so it was easier to take over? This is the same universe as Owned by them. New characters and a newer more civilized way of acquiring new females. This one is a bit more mature. I was writing this at the same time as the other.
