Poetry Of a Convoluted Mind
This is a small collection of poems that I have compiled over the years starting at age 15 stemming from my own personal experiences and observations of the world around me. I am hoping in the future for this to become a book. Trigger warning mentions of suicide, attempting suicide, self harm, addiction, OD, hanging, child abuse, depression, bullying, and psychological torture.
𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙚
"Pieces of Me" is a raw and poignant journey through the complexities of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. The story follows a young boy who, tormented by bullying because of his feminine voice, learns to mask his true self in an attempt to survive the cruel realities of school life. As he grows older and enters high school, he feels the weight of having to conform to societal expectations of having a masculine voice, sacrificing his authenticity to fit in. In his search for acceptance, he falls deeply in love with someone who seems to offer the comfort and connection he's longed for. But this love soon turns toxic, as betrayal and manipulation emerge from the person he trusted most. The emotional and physical abuse he endures leaves deep scars, shattering his sense of self-worth. Despite the overwhelming darkness, "Pieces of Me" is a story of healing. Through the pain, the protagonist embarks on a journey of self-discovery, learning to reclaim the shattered pieces of his heart and identity. It's a tale of resilience, where every scar tells a story of survival, and ultimately, of finding strength in vulnerability. As he pieces himself back together, he learns that true love and acceptance must first come from within. This is a story about reclaiming one's voice, embracing individuality, and discovering that the fragments of our past, no matter how broken, can come together to create something whole. The Words I couldn't Say
This is a place for me to put all the things I wish I said but I just couldn't. These are a way for me to "say" these things without actually saying them to the person I want to. I probably won't ever go back or read any of these because it's like revisiting a bad memory so don't expect much in terms of editing. Also I wouldn't consider this poetry but it is laid out that way. WARNING Talk of depression, suicide, anxiety, and self harm. Don't read if you don't like things like that and may get triggered.
