Persimmon always knew she was meant for something greater. Her whole life had been the same story. She was surviving off of a risk. Her father would always steal moments to find a way to keep two dragonets alive for seven years. Persimmon's sister, Sangria, was different than her. She sees their father as a threat to their very lives.

When danger beckons Persimmon out of the shadows, she must make a choice between avenging her family or focus on a greater threat; a dragon who has been plotting on another continent.

Pyrrhia has more than one threat now. A raging war and a potential villain from a different world is the last thing this dragon wants to care about. For now, her duties lie elsewhere -- in the Ice Kingdom.

⚠️Potential spoilers for the Wings of Fire series! It is recommended to read Wings of Fire books 1-10 and Wings of Fire: Beyond the Horizon before reading this story. Beyond the Horizon can be found at the bottom of this story's description, or in my reading list, "Legends of the Moonmaiden's Chosen." Trigger warnings for the following types of content: Cults, Death, Violence, Blood/Gore, Murder, Religious Belief, Hatred, Romance, and more. NOTE: This story is discontinued, meaning it will not receive any more chapters. Due to the amount of new important characters and elements being introduced to this story's prequel, connecting the dots with that story and this one will either require a ton of work or make little to no sense. This story will be rewritten once Beyond the Horizon is finished. An IceWing with too much frost, and a SkyWing with too much fire. They live lonely lives, becoming outcasts in their own tribe, avoided and despised by most. Until one day, the two dragons collide, their lives changing forever. What happens when frost and fire meet? This story is told in the first person point of view, alternating between characters every chapter. Chapters will be released six at a time once they are ready. This story will be #2 in the "Legends of the Moonmaiden's Chosen" series. Reading Beyond the Horizon first is not required to understand the backstory of Primrose and the Moonmaiden, but it is highly recommended. "TWO SHALL DIE AND ONE SHALL LEARN." ______________________________________ The dragonets of destiny have given up on the prophecy. But one dragon isn't willing to let the war go on. Hare will do whatever it takes to see the war end and let the continent live in peace. She will give the SandWings a queen, though she's not sure she'd be able to watch her mother die. When Hare realizes that there's no convincing her friends to keep trying, she turns to another group of dragonets to ask them for help. Flame hates the prophecy. He hates his stupid fate and the stupid NightWing that threw him into this mess. When he finds out the prophecy was fake all along, he's more than happy to give up. He wants nothing more than to go home and see his mother, especially after all that's happened. But Hare manages to be convincing enough, and the last thing he wants is to have to live in fear of losing his mother to the war. Both groups of dragonets have lived their entire lives in a lie, but one will end the war and make Pyrrhia the continent it was before. Even though they were thrown into a misshapen destiny, hope has returned. _________________________________________ The "Twisted Skies" AU belongs to AppleCinnamonCandles Wings of Fire belongs to Tui T.
