I can and I will help him, without help he will never get out of here.. *** After Alex Gaskarth was hospitalized for his third suicide attempt this year his parents decided that it would be best for him to spend some time in the Teen Psychiatric ward of Valley Springs Hospital. There he has to share a room with Jack Barakat, who was possibly the worst person to room with due to his attitude, but when Alex discovers more about Jack and why he was there he begins to feel different towards the boy he was told to stay away from. Will Jack accept Alex's help and encouragement? Or will he shut himself away from Alex and refuse anything to do with him? Is what Alex feels towards Jack more than just the need to help him? Jack goes through a breakup then as a result, he has some depressing thoughts. He finds out from a friend that a new kid is coming to their school, which he takes as an opportunity to make new friends. After Jack finds himself in a bad place, he finds something he likes in Alex.

Alex had enough. Enough of everything. So he decided to run away from his broken past in Britain, and on his way to a different country, he accidentaly met his light in the dark. "And...what's even your name?" the boy asked. "Uh-I'm-I'm Alex. Alex Gaskarth." he quietly stuttered and shifted a bit, then carefully looked up at the boy with glossy eyes. "Well I'm Jack, Jack Barakat. And I'm sticking with you whether you like it or not."

Jack and Alex are in mad love. Alex, however, had quite a few mental illnesses and is put in a mental hospital. Getting out, Jack loves him back to health
