"I'll save you from the pirates." Katara ran into the back of his chest. She mentally cursed herself. She quickly bent some water to freeze on the fire prince's feet. It bought her just barely enough time to bend water to carry her away. Then the water began bending back towards the shore. One of the pirates was a water bender. They pulled me under and wouldn't allow me to take a breath of air, they crashed my body against the rocks several times before finally allowing me up. When I broke through the surface I took a deep breath. Zuko reached in and dragged me out, tying me to a tree. "Where's the Avatar?" He asked. And that's where it all began.....

I didn't wish for her to be humiliated in front of my court. ************************************** After Katara is separated from her brother, she finds herself wandering alone in the unforgiving adult world, and soon to the Fire Nation Capital. After consistently finding trouble she is held captive, cut off from any news circulating in the world, before she is sold off to another unfortunate future the spirits could only tell you about. Shortly after Katara finds herself being presented to the new Fire Lord, Fire Lord Zuko. Tempted by the simple sight of her, Zuko cannot decide if he should let her go or keep her locked away forever. Our story takes place from the "Crossroads of Destiny" episode. While you may notice some key/similar parts, moving forward from this point in the show everything has been set on a new path.

The people in the colonies do not, hatred starts to grow in their hearts. The Avarar will need the help of a companion more than any other time, and there is no better person to aid him than the secret waterbender that's part of the Fire Nation fleet, the woman who risked her own life to get him to safety, even though this had been the first time they had met in their lives.
