Althea Alice Hathaway is living a normal life until her 16th birthday when her parents freak out because her silver hair gets a red streak. They immediately pack and move a remote town in Africa. They thought they had hidden her away from them. But when she is discovered by her identical twin Artemis Amana Hathaway thus exposing them to the  forces of evil at work they have long hidden from, they must learn to trust each other and survive.
