"Born without wings." The midwife pronounced each syllable with an even tone although it was not hard to tell that she was doing her best to hide the shock and amazement in her voice.

Queen Evangeline lay on the sweat-soaked sheets of her large bed. A heavy quilt was draped over her quivering, naked body and her face was positively red from the effort of giving birth just a few moments earlier.

"What...What does that mean?"

Special. Unique. Different. Words designed as praise only keep Delilah prisoner. As a princess of Fae who was born without wings, Delilah has been controlled, questioned, and ridiculed all of her life. It seems her whole life revolves around being different. But when a dark magic settles across the kingdom, Delilah must choose to confront what truly matters, before her people suffer the consequences.

The Midnight Game

4 parts Ongoing

Evangeline Damyon is no stranger to being invisible. She has lived shuttered away in her father's castle, a scapegoat ostracised by her kingdom since birth. But, it only takes a moment for everything to change. In one fateful night, Evangeline's world is uprooted, and she discovers a new land hidden from human knowledge - a kingdom full of creatures and untamed magic. She will have to become someone new, a version of herself that only existed in her wildest fantasies. Evangeline will have to play the games of this new world to survive, and she will not make the mistakes she did before.
