Ashes... that's all there is after something burns. Shoto todoroki knew that better then most. So when his heart begins to blaze for a friend of his he tries to stop the warmth not wanting to risk getting turned to ashes. or even worse bring the boy he loves down with him.
(Yeah sorry I suck at writing descriptions. this will mainly be a vent fic with my favourite ship)
