Prologue.
"Life changes fast. Life changes in an instant. You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends."
In the beginning, let me tell you. This is going to be a story about a bunch of high school students. And eventually, about a trio of Hela Barnes, Rebecca Brown and Mike Anderson. They might appear as any other students; a bunch of friends on a cafeteria table, highly caffeinated, biggest concern being their upcoming physics exam. Getting closer though, you start seeing beneath the halos.
Not being the stereotypical hippie cheerleader of high school, Hela accompanies the newbie, Rebecca along with her classmate, Mike, making the best trio of the Eastview high school.
The boy in this high school with cold black eyes and dark brown hair was Jackson, Jackson Hayes. The cliché popular guy, the football captain and the stereotypical jock, all were him.
Not wishing to maintain any contact with the quiet girl Hela and her 'trash of friends', keeping his beautiful dark eyes hooded all the time, he tries to get past the school stages.
Enter: Evan Scott. Just another new comer for almost everyone, confused by the busier hallways, less friendly students and the uncaring teachers. Little did he presume about the amount of confusion that was to come upon him in these very hallways.
All of them getting through the school years in their own ways, desperately trying to forget and get over those four years by the end but nevertheless failing.
Read the book to find out why and from what they need to get over so desperately.
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
