The Isle of Holt was once known for peace and harmony. But it all changed when Duke Baldric died and his brother, Lord Richard took his place. Peter finds refuge in his rebelling people, and help from a young, beautiful noblewoman.
Avelina Mason has been helping raise a rebellion for the past decade. She knows the stakes but is driven by the need for justice. Lord Richard has already stolen enough from her family, and Avelina won't grant him anymore. But everything is changed when a stranger claiming to be the dead Duke Baldric's son steps foot on the Isle.
With duties to fulfill and a passion for freedom, Peter and Avelina join forces to fight against Lord Richard. And neither one can deny the growing attraction between them. But Peter and Avelina both have valuable prices on their heads. And when Lord Richard wreaks havoc on the Isle, both know that it will be a God-given miracle if they both make it out alive.
