Cordelia was now experiencing the forceful hits of unrestrained life. At 22 years old, she had little in the way of luxuries. Having graduated with honours in science and a bachelor degree in biology, but with nowhere to go, she found opening a florist and living in the broom cupboard was a decent start.

After multiple unfortunate events, she finds herself gazing down at a young boy, crying whilst cradling a small, injured bird. Disregarding all of her thoughts of doubt, she helps the young boy nurse the bird to life.

One event leads to another, and she is thrown into life in the Mafia. Violence, blood, cold murder and tragedy befall the people she discovers but also love, romance and happiness.
