Alpha king's non-mate

Love story of a royal alpha and a human who is not his mate.

A few generations ago, due to some evolutionary crisis, werewolves decided not to mate with humans to protect their kind from being extinct.
Initially, there was an exception for imprints which means soulmates. But as their powerful lineage was decreasing in number they had to stop that too and strictly made a rule against mating with humans and other kinds.
It resulted in many unhappy lives but they went on for the sake of their kind.

Now, in this generation, Eric is soon to be crowned as alpha king of his province but as he is not mated yet his crowning has been delayed and pressure to go for arranged mating increased upon him.
He doesn't have any problem to go for arranged mating but the problem arises when an Indian girl stirs some emotions in him, whom he knows is not his imprint for sure.
