The evening news broke over the city of Gotham showing an image of Batman holding his limp partner, the shot taken from above in a helicopter. The news stations continued to play the moments leading to the explosion over and over. Some nights... it just seemed that all hope was gone. It became harder to believe that good would prevail.

While Y/n's father was getting treated in the hospital, Y/n went on a job hunt. She was allowed to stay in the manor of course but Y/n decided it was best for her to get a small apartment, so she did. Y/n had soon turned nineteen, and she went into training to become a skilled detective for the GCPD. And she hasnt had Any contact with Bruce Wayne even since she arrived at gotham. The only one she talked to was alfred. Bruce of course didnt know that his parents friend had a child. But when he heard the knews. He was most definitely shocked. This girl was also older than him by 11 months. Basically a year. Soon.. the two meet under dire circumstances, her father is dying, and bruce has to help her adapt and overcome. Both of them training in the process under Ras Al' Ghul. Back to Gotham. As friends, maybe more. It was an inside joke. Each of the 'batfam' had a weakness. No one - not even Alfred - knew Batman's. Damian's was easy; Damian's was the heat. Couldn't stand it; he got way too hot way too quickly. Tim's was the dark. Was never found asleep without either a light on or the door open with a light on outside. Jason's was water. He couldn't hold his breath and had panic attacks when he had prolonged contact; say he was in a pool. Dick had two; cold and poison. He froze in twelve degrees (C) and never left the house with a jacket on. And the poison traveled at least three times as fast through his bloodstream as he didn't clot easily. Alfred had one too; as impossible as it seems. His was his age; he was nimble, yes, quick, yes, agile, yes, but occasionally his limbs cramped, or he had trouble breathing. ---Ⓜ️ for blood, gore etc, and bad language! ---
