High school is supposed to be simple: go to class, survive group projects, and avoid unnecessary social interaction. Easy, right?

Not for me. My carefully maintained life of solitude gets thrown off balance when a new seating arrangement forces me to sit next to a classmate I've never noticed before. She's sharp, cold, and infuriatingly perceptive-exactly the type of person who makes everyday life feel like a minefield.

Between sarcastic remarks, awkward encounters, and subtle misunderstandings, I quickly realize that avoiding people isn't as simple as I thought. And somehow, against all odds, I find myself paying attention.
