Jay's school is the most annoying school he's ever been. Well in his point of view. It's not because of all the kids, not the teachers, not the system. But what they're interested in... The game, Splatoon. 

The entire school is a huge fan of the game. Well, everyone except Jay. When the game came out, his school became his personal Hell. Sometimes he questioned if it really was that bad, then he should try it... But one glance at his school, he quickly changes his mind.

His father, one of the employees at an extremely technological building in the world, has invented the machine that will take your reality and change it to whatever you wish to be in... Cool and all, yet dangerous and not yet tested. Jay and his group of friends decided to go to his father's personal lab and check out the new machinery.

After a few unfortunate circumstances, he ended up being in the game that he hated the most. 

Coming out of it was tricky, but something coming out with him, is even more trickier. Now his mission to take whatever came out with him, to put it back to the game... Before it's too late.

What people don't know is this was half the truth. It was also there for experiments. Before the slaughter at the Elliott mansion. The first host for a sentient ai program know as Absolute Solver was a worker drone named Cyn who was repaired by a boy named (Y/N). He was childhood friends with Tessa Elliott. Tessa parents liked having him around and have also wanted to set up a arranged marriage between the two. He may not of been rich but they could teach him proper way of being a member of the Elliotts. (Y/N) parents where struggling. They tried to take care of him the best they could. A partner company to Jc Jenson called Charon Industries sent a private division to kill his parents and take him for there super soldier program due to how he can bond with drones. They would of taken Tessa but it would be difficult with her. Taking a nobody would be easier. Now you have been taken to Copper 9 where they will experiment on you with the Absolute Solver, along with other test subject children and drones. They want to see if it will bond with a human child to create the ultimate weapon. (Here's another story idea I had. A whole bunch of others are being made as well. it's been almost a year and iv been working on 8 different stories. Ideas pop in my head and I just let them flow when I have the time to. Anyways I hope this story can catch the interest of many and I haven't given up on my other stories. the next 2 chapters for my main one are almost done and will be released. I will now be posting everything unedited and unfinished for the sake of not feeling bad about the "talent" that middle school me felt when writing this. I wrote this because I couldn't find a good Splatoon 2 fanfic and decided I'd do it myself, I still use that kind of motivation to write things like music now 💀 Eyyy, so i was playing Squid Splat earlier and felt inspired! She can still turf and fight and do what most inklings do, but what makes her stand out is her colors. Her colors aren't like other inklings you see in Inkopolis. Like Marie and Pearl. Her hair color is white and changes color depending on what she wants and almost always changes her hair style. She also changes eye color constantly. So sometimes no one even recognizes her. She heard of rumors of the old subway station and she's seen another inkling who's told her that he's an agent...agent 4, near what seems to be a sewer? What happens when she wanders into both paths and ends up in deeper ink than she intended to? Read the book to find out duh.... XD

His mind being transported away. --- So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn't age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth's hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science.

In case it's not obvious, this is the rewrite to A World Once Familiar. I plan on expanding upon the main character (who I call Harbor Maria in place of Y/n L/n), Agent 3, and improve several scenes, as well as give the whole story some much-needed polish and a touch of my more modern writing.

I think our main villain would agree with that. (Theoretically) What would happen when people are kidnapped, experimented on, turned evil against their will and forced to fight their families? What if... They couldn't save those who they dearly loved, and had to watch them die? The agents would say that it's nothing new, but within the chaos of this new villain, they would all realise that this fight would be something new. This adventure was going to be different to anything else they have done in their lifetime. This adventure was going to change all of their lives, PERMANENTLY.
