MirchiPataka : On July 17, 2014, the MH17 was downed by a missile when it was flying above Eastern Ukraine. The crash killed all 298 people on board and gave rise to a political battle that is yet to end. Recently, an international inquiry into the crash of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 depicted the role of Russian officials in directing the dissenters in Eastern Ukraine.
Was a top of aide President Putin somehow involved in the attack?
Well, it may seem a little weird, but recent investigations illustrate the involvement of a high-level Russian official. The investigators are of the opinion that the high-level Russian official is none other than the top aide of Vladimir Putin. Investigators have also allegedly pointed out that the top official communicated to the rebels on a regular basis.
Russia's foreign ministry has however termed these finds as rubbish
It is important to note here that the Foreign Ministry of Russia has however termed these allegations as baseless. According to Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the MH17 disaster and the subsequent events have been thoroughly manipulated by the inquiry to accommodate a predetermined inference. On a further note, she added that the materials published by them have no credibility whatsoever.
Persons convicted till date
Investigators have already arrested four individuals which also comprises of the name of a separatist defense chief. It is worthwhile to note here that the accused would go on trial, probably in absentia in 2020.
