The Way Things Are is a novel and is about a girl named Malia. She is trapped inside a village and wants to find more freedom. On her spare time, she goes outside of the village, which is forbidden. She feels relieved when she finds out that there are other kids like her. That go outside the village to explore.  The group leader of these kids is Nathan. He and Malia form a bond, but their is something he is not telling her...(Wonder why the picture is  related to royalty? Read to find out! Free to read!!!)
