In a world where human-animal hybrids exist, but not for long. Because of the government, kemonomimi's are going extinct, and their fate is left in the hands of a young high school student who has absolutely no idea what he's doing. Some would say he's the least capable person for the job, but he doesn't exactly think the same. Friendships are made in confusing and troubling times, but how long does it last?
