For Naya Penhallow, being born an heiress to one of the Clave's greatest families was not easy, and as Shakespeare wrote it, "uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."

In addition to being the heiress of the Penhallow family, she found herself, at the age of 11, responsible for her younger brother after the cold-blooded murder of their parents, as well as the one of their little sister. And of course, they had been killed on the orders of Valentin Morgenstern, the Circle's leader.

From the age of 11 to 15, Naya and her brother were taken in by their uncle Patrick Penhallow and his wife Jia, in Alicante, where they were both able to complete their theoretical learning; Naya was later sent to the New York Institute to complete her training.
