Skylar Mae Collins is a relatively normal girl. On the second thought, maybe not so normal. Since she was born, she has been obsessed with wolves. She longs to be able to work with them. As a scientist perhaps, examining them. Or maybe a veterinarian, specializing in wolves. Well, anything to do with wolves really.
And since she was thirteen, she has had occuring dreams of a myterious boy, now a man, and what appears to be a wolf version of that same person. But this dream has had not much importance until now.....
On a family vacation on Mount McKinley, Alaska, gone wrong, she wanders off the hiking path to take a closer look at what looks like a snow wolf and she falls. Hurting herself badly as she slowly bleeds into the snow. All hope is lost as a blizzard causes her to become practically invisible, half buried in the snow. she finally accepts the fact that she will die as she closes her eyes for what she thinks will be the last time.
But during one of the coldest and most unforgiving nights, a pack of snow wolves stumble upon her dying body. Torn between the decision of leaving her be and taking her back to the village, a single wolf, the one Skylar has seen in her dreams feels a pull towards this young woman. Managing to convince the pack, they take her back.
But these wolves are not what they seem to be......... Is this a miracle of another kind, or a disaster just waiting to happen? Only time will tell
