'He looked at the scar, a sheen crescent carved into my palm, and traced it lightly with his finger. I felt my breath hitch in my throat. My heart was beating against its cage with panicked wings.
I tried not to think.
But as I closed my eyes, I was blinded by light instead of darkness, and I was staring into a stone face with feathery wings.
My eyes shot open, and I realized Harry had stopped tracing my palm and was instead looking at me with concern.
"Are you okay?"
He asked me, his eyebrows furrowed.
The little crease on his forehead reminded me of a tiny moon, and the slope of his lips looked like the outstretched petals of a flower, and I swear, his eyes had stars in them, nestled right in the corners.
I suddenly felt sick.
His intense gaze shifted, and I felt some of the pressure lift off my chest as he took a step back.
"Your scared."
It wasn't a question, it was a statement.
And I realized it, with breathtaking intensity and dizzying suddenness.
For the first time since I could remember, I was scared.
I was terrified.'

My heart was beating and adrenaline was running through my body at a thousand miles per second. My hand wrapped around the door knob, but then I was pulled back painfully by my arm. I was whipped around and was face to face with a pissed off Louis. "Where do you think you're going, love?" He asked, and I gulped at how dark his voice sounded. The sane part of me was absolutley terrified of it, and I didn't like it, but the part of me that thought Louis was incredible was so turned on by his dark side. "Answer the question." This is my first real fanfic and I started it when I was 13 so you can judge it if you want. I realize now that I wasn't a very good writer back then. Trust me though, you can see as I get better/older as it goes on. I think the last 30/20 chapters are a big improvement in comparison to the beginning. I started "Innocent" as a 13 year old and finished it as a 17 year old, and you can tell. If there are any cringe mistakes feel free to point them out.
