Hypersensitivity can be hard to deal with. Whenever someone gets hypersensitive, it could possibly cause him or her to perseverate about the same subjects too much, and it could even lead to losing control of temper.

Fourteen-year-old Garret Scott the cat has a hard time letting certain subjects go because of his hypersensitivity and perseveration, which drives his family nuts. He must learn to distract himself so he doesn't think about the same subjects over and over and over again.

Ten-year-old Alex Parker is an energetic and seemingly happy child with a love for sports and an eagerness to make friends. On the surface, life seems great. But behind Alex's wide grin is a simmering frustration that often boils over into uncontrollable bursts of anger. Whether it's a misplaced pass in soccer or a perceived slight from a classmate, Alex's temper often gets the best of them, leaving bruises on friendships and a confused sense of self. Unaware of the root of their struggles, Alex feels like an outsider in their own life-unable to understand why things never seem to go the way they expect. When a new school counselor, Ms. Jensen, takes an interest in Alex, she helps them uncover the hidden truth: Alex has been struggling with anger management, but they never realized it because it had always been dismissed as "just a phase" or "normal childhood behavior." As Alex begins to confront this hidden part of themselves, they must navigate their relationships with family, friends, and school, learning not just to control their outbursts but to understand why they happen in the first place. Along the way, Alex discovers that anger is not an enemy to be feared or suppressed, but an emotion to be understood, managed, and channeled in healthier ways. Behind the Roar is a heartwarming and emotional journey of self-discovery, where a child learns the power of patience, communication, and the importance of empathy in a world that often overlooks the complexities of childhood emotions.

Tatum Jewel goes to Cousins beach with her sister Taylor every time she goes to visit her best-friend Belly. Two summers ago Tate and Conrad Fisher fell for one another but soon ended things because they wouldn't see each other. Tate decides not to go with her sister to cousins with her the year after or the next, but this year Tate decided it was time she goes because she missed everyone dearly. Will old feelings rise up again or new ones arise. Jenny Han owns every character besides Tatum Jewel. I changed up a few things from the show plot to match up with the story.
