"I love you." Jayden whispers into my mouth.
"I want you." My hormones reply.
Jayden becomes as stiff as a board and immediately moves from under me. "What's wrong?" I asked, sounding like a sullen child.
"It's time for me to go." Jayden pants. He jumps out of the hot tub, grabs my towel from the chaise, and heads into the house.
I sit there dumbfounded. What just happened? I replay the last five minutes in my head. Everything was going so well. Then... on no.
"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!" I begin to mumble to myself.
I rack my hands through my hair and cover my mouth.
