Luke Ellis and Hollis Anderson couldn't be any more different. Luke is a sought after football player and Hollis is Springfield High's outcast. Despite their differences, the two are constantly forced together, seeing as Luke is dating Hollis's twin sister, Mary.  A convincing speech, a scheduling mishap, and a monetary promise leave a made-over Hollis playing the role of Mary for a month long vacation with Luke's family. On this trip, Hollis discovers who Luke really is, while he continues thinking that everything is the same, apart from the unexpected deepening of his feelings towards the girl he assumes is Mary.
