Encased in the ice is an ancient creature that is lost in time. Seemingly to have amnesia, he is feeling lost, confused, depressed and would very much like all answers to be served on a plate but alas, that is not the case. Watch as he ventures the world as he tries to find the answer to who he was, not noticing the line between friends and foes blur in front of his very eyes.

Aegis is a blue ice drake that towers a regular adult human by two feet standing up. Mysteriously having human morals, Aegis contains a desire to deliver justice in the form of claw thrusts. He's a silent one, prefers to only talk when necessary. Aegis operates on a no-nonsense type of nature. If he wants to get something done, he will do it fast and efficient. His combat style reflects on this, although secretly he did like doing flashy moves from time to time. Despite all this, he is surprisingly a bit of a shy towards strangers and rarely opens up. This may contribute to his silent personality. But, when the situation calls for it, he will get loud and he will make sure his voice is heard

Original release: 2020 Two paths stretch before Jora as he awakens in the hospital without memory nor any known records: on one, a doctor wishes to help him recover his memory; on the other, a scientist wishes to do the same. However, on their quest for the truth, not everybody has his well-being in mind as they discover the reality of his situation puts their own goals in danger. A combination of Science Fiction and Fantasy that embraces the bizarre, and is wrapped in mystery with some aspects of horror. 2020 Author's Notes are available in the comments. I highly recommend reading the chapters first! 2024 Author's Note: This story has been cancelled, and is due to be rewritten. Many aspects may likely change in the future, though. I originally took down this story because I disliked the universe I'd set up as well as the execution of the story itself, and intended on doing a reimagining. That second take came and went, burning myself out over struggles to pace it well thanks to its highly unusual and experimental structure. This story was also taken down to prevent some of the events that occurred later in it from spoiling the latter parts of "Redwater Riot." That said, I feel like it would be a good idea to rerelease this story as a sort of museum work, a way to look at what my writing was back then and how it has changed over time. I don't intend on finishing "Polaris Garden," though I do intend on a rewrite in a later "Imperial Reach: Awakening." Something much closer to what this was than what I'd done before. Aegis-Aegir, apprentice to the wizard Phandale the Wise, accidentally teleports himself to a frozen arctic known as the Aurorean Wastes. With no direction on where to go he must find his way home. The Aurorean Wastes are a frigid land inundated by permafrost and beset by supernatural storms brought about by the world's Aurora Borealis touching entirely too close to the planet's surface. The Aurorean Wastes are a place few humans dare to tread for the land is known to twist its inhabitants into strange facsimiles of their former selves. How did the Aurorean Wastes come to be? How can beauty like the Aurora Borealis be put to such cruel ends? How is a man to get out? These questions and many more must be answered by Aegis-Aegir if he is ever to return home. There will be nine separate stories telling the travels of Aegis-Aegir in the Aurorean Wastes. each story is ten chapters long. Religion is a matter of faith, magic is a force of nature to be studied, and the two other sentient species who inhabit Jarn, beside humans, are subject to the principles of evolution and adaptation.
