In the quiet town in a valley during the dead of winter with a blizzard blocking the exits on either side, bandits seemed to suddenly strike terror in the valley, cursing the town to probable destruction or perhaps not. A team of Rangers. consisting of a very strange bunch from the Monarchy of Appalachia, a kingdom of Elves, had been caught within the valley and where now the only hope of the town's survival. Yet a secret had yet to be discovered. The boy named Jericho, a young man with no identity of his past, remembering nothing, had shown something, had shown magic, that had never been seen to such a grand scale before. A search for his past begins, to figure who he was, but his adoptive father trying to hold him back. . . From something dangerous or perhaps far worse. Enter the fantasy journey from the future, a world of mystery, conflict, love, strife, and a secret that'll change the understanding of our Rangers and Jericho's world. . . And perhaps the entire world too.

Each generation of Monicroffs' bested every year they attended, from being top student to saving a magical realm back in the War of Magicals and Naturals some hundred years ago. Now, it's her turn to live up to that legacy, her turn - to be the best, her turn - to leave a mark with her name on it. Her turn to make the Monicroff name proud, and her father. Until she gets sent to the wrong house. All Monicroff's belonged in the Herelds House, not the Seekers . . . She's sent to the Seekers and, and it feels like hell's waiting to swallow her up. To make matters worse, she meets this lonely looking boy in the Corner of the courtyard and finds he's a Seeker too . . . Only he's not as nice and demure as she thought he was. Before long, Teagan must deal with the trials of being a fourteen year old first year Mage with a legacy for a name in the wrong house. This comes with bullying, insecurities, fears of rejection, failing classes, and basically doing everything wrong and butchering the Monicroff name. Just when she thinks it can't get worse. . . She's accused of stealing a magic amulet which could unleash a monster on the world and possible start another war between the Naturals and the Magicals. Also her Father isn't speaking to her.
