Maggie Emsburg is a strange girl in many ways. She pours her milk before her cereal, she stays in her room for most of her days unless necessary, and she doesn't have any friends unless you want to count her older brother, Ethan.
Maggie was definitely not normal person and never fit in with a crowd, but no one ever expected her to commit suicide.
But she had failed. She was still alive.
Months past after the incident, Maggie's body was beginning to heal from her self inflicted injuries, but she still had one thing on her mind:
"If I had just died, it would've been easier."
Then she meets Emily, a beautiful and very outgoing girl that also is cousins with a certain very cute baseball player, and knows something is up with Maggie. But Emily has a secret of her own that she hopes to never reveal to Maggie, but once she found out that Maggie tried to kill herself she knew she had one mission.
Even if Emily wasn't going to be around to see Maggie stay alive, she wanted to help her find the reason why life is worth living, before it's too late.
