Sovereign's Wrath

For eons, longer than even the remaining Gods can recall, the world has been held in the clutches of Sovereign, the same God that brought humanity to its knees with pestilence, reanimated and ill-formed beasts, and the malice of those serving him. An immortal with endless avarice, he's held his throne beside an unseen Queen and forced the dwindled population to abide his tenets.
The earth fell to chaos when he was found dead ten years ago.
