Is Choosing a Goat Like Choosing a Dog?

Told in Second person narrative poems, Is Choosing a Goat Like Choosing a Dog? is the story of an eight year old who moves to Kansas with their family and enrolls in 4-H, where they become responsible for raising a goat for the year, and showing it at the county fair. As they adjust to their new home, they learn what it means to be a friend and take responsibility for a pet, with their goat, Starsky, by their side.
