This is a short story I wrote as part of a writing group challenge a while back. Every month we're given a random topic we magically turn into a story. The rest is up to the writer in regards to the direction you want to take your words. It just has to be on the shorter side, no more that a couple thousand words and (hopefully) be captivating. (like i said - hopefully ;))

It was first published on our Rowville Aspiring Writers website and in the The Australia Times Magazine: http://www.theaustraliatimes.com/ a rather cool magazine collective if you care to take a look.

For this particular month it was 'Rattling Chains'.

I hope you enjoy my words as they are, i may take them further some day, you never know.

Love to hear your thoughts.
Cheers.
