Aliyah Tate has it all. Her life is seemingly perfect. She has good grades, a supportive family, and amazing friends. Her whole life has been planned out for her. That is until a failed class jeopardizes the changes of getting into her dream college. But when she's given an opportunity to fix her mistakes, she crosses paths with the last person she ever expected.

Kayden Hughes has nothing. After growing up with abusive and neglectful parents, he's been in the foster care system for the past three years. He's gone his entire life taking hit after hit, never having any sense of stability. Every time he lets someone in, he ends up either losing them or getting hurt. He's on a completely opposite path. Yet somehow, he finds his life suddenly entangled with Aliyah's.

She's determined to change his path for the better, while he's determined to not let anyone through his boundaries. But as they begin to grow closer and closer, it becomes obvious that only one of them will succeed.

*Note: This story is only rated mature according to Wattpad guidelines, and I am unable to change the rating, but as the author, I can assure you that such a label for this story is DRAMATIC. There is no smut or explicit content in my story, just maybe some inappropriate scenarios, but nothing rated R. The world is cruel, and Dareen Abu feels helpless. She's just going with the flow of what society tells her to do: go to college, get your degree, and work for the rest of your life like a robot. But her mind is always on her dreams: becoming a writer, finding love, and not having to worry about her finances. Writing is her safe haven. She utterly adores romance and fantasies about it all day, inserting herself in her character's shoes for some thrill in her rather boring life. Though her life is a lot greater than most people's, she notices her family's struggles. They came into the country with only a bag of items, after all; however, after fifteen years, they still haven't been able to break free from the minimum wage cage. Not to mention that getting a job nowadays is harder than ever, which she's personally seen her father struggle with. After six months, he finally lands a job, but it's another nursing home driving job that he isn't getting paid well for. What he is good at is cooking. He may not be primarily passionate about it in this given moment since he's been in survival mode for the past fifteen years, but perhaps a cushy private chef job where rich people let him experiment with all kinds of organic goods and in return eat Michelin-star-worthy food, for which he gets paid well, would be a win-win situation for everyone. But just how will Dareen help her father get a better job? And little does she know that perhaps she may benefit from her pursuit to help him. Dive into Dareen's journey by giving this story a good read to find out just what happens to her and her family... and her heart?

In which two ex-step-siblings reconnect after just about blowing up their family the first time around... Three years ago, Maddie fell hard for Jacob Isaacs, the smartest boy in her school. The only problem was this: Her dad had quite literally gotten engaged to his mother. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. But then Maddie's dad passes and she's forced to come home for his funeral. It should be a quick visit. She intends to make it one. But Jacob has other plans. He let his girl slip through his fingers once and he won't let that happen again. So now he has to convince her to give him one more chance. After all, they're not related to each other anymore.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I would have gotten off of him but I realize that he wasn't moving to get away from me. No, He was moving his lips against mine." °°°°° Aiden Moore isn't extraordinary. He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! ''There is only one thing crossing my mind right now. If he hates me so much, then why the hell is he kissing me back?'' ----------------------- Emma White has always been kind of a loner. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father never really cared, always working in his successful company. That's why she decides to go to a college away from home, something she's been dreaming of since she can remember. However, what happens when at her very first day on campus, she crosses path with Noah Allen? He is rich, popular, cold, rude and a player just to start with. No surprise she calls him Mr. Grumpy. What is driving her insane though is that he's only too cold when it comes to her. After some not so pleasant moments and lots of glares, she tells herself that the best is to stay away from him, but it won't be that easy. After a disastrous kiss and hidden jealousy, she finds herself deeply involved into what is this frustrating boy. Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college. He remembers her just fine from a couple of years ago and all the feelings are back. He knows she doesn't remember him and he'll use this as his leverage to do what he has to do. It's what he promised his father and himself, even if it means he has to pretend to care for her. All he cares is his family business. At least it's what he tells himself, until the feelings start getting too mixed and he ends up thinking of her more than he should. Maybe it's not all about business after all. He knows their history started before she even knows, what he didn't expect was for her to be so different from what he has always believed.

12 parts Ongoing Mature

" 'Cause if I know you see me falling, You'll be right there to pick me up" Liyah never meant to fall this fast. She's the shy-but-outgoing type - the kind of girl who laughs things off, bites her tongue, and lets stuff slide just to keep the peace. Communication isn't her strong suit, and standing up for herself never came easy. But when Kayzon walks into her life, everything she thought she knew about protecting her heart gets complicated. Kayzon's got his own story - one written in pain, loss, and walls too high for most people to climb. His past made him hard, quiet, and guarded, but somehow, Liyah gets past the surface. She makes him feel seen again. Safe, even. What starts as late-night conversations and lazy afternoons in her dorm turns into something deeper, something neither of them expected. But when two people carrying their own kind of hurt collide, love doesn't always heal - sometimes, it exposes. Did they move too fast, or did they just find each other at the wrong time?
