When the former slave, Michael, runs away from his owner, he must try to escape the planet on a stranger's ship. But when they find the stow away, instead of following normal procedure, they help him in a strange way. Now, Michael has formed a strange bond with his rescuers and is trying to learn how to live outside of slavery and stay alive at the same time.

I have been thinking about this story for awhile now, and I just love... everything about it! I just wish that it had continued. I have recently read a fanfiction containing this series, and I really loved the direction It was going in. There will be some of those hard subjects I mentioned before, plus mention of bloody stuff, so I am just warning you now. If you wish not to read about those, please just dont read.
