"You're not brave, you've merely forgotten the fear of death...Allow me to reacquaint you." The words wouldn't leave her head... Ghaul's mocking tone, the way he looked down at her like she was nothing but an ant beneath his boot with his eyes narrowed and stance radiating a smug triumph that made the Young Wolf grit her teeth and clench her jaw even days after the fact. His words though wasn't what caused her anger, even if they did send a pang of, something through her body. She ignored that (like she always did) and focused on the matter at hand for now, (for her feelings didn't matter; they never would.) Ghaul had invaded her home, the home of her people and captured the Traveler right from under their noses. He slaughtered her people, killed all who hadn't evacuated and he not once cared for the amount of innocent lives he took. The blood of men, women and children who just wanted to live in peace... He had killed all who stood in his way, and The Guardian hadn't been able to stop him from doing so... She had failed...she was right there before him and had fallen down on her knees, too exhausted to get back up and fight without her Light. (She was Weak...a failure...a coward...) The Titan could still feel the phantom pain coursing through her body in the aftermath of the attack, when she had woken up barely alive without her powers back in the city but now, sitting around her small camp as she finally took a break after days of walking that did nothing but fuel her anger. She'd find a way to stop the Red Legion, find a way to kill Ghaul with or without the Light even if it was the last thing she did. -OR: The Red War begins; The Young Wolf is pissed, never before has she failed like this, failed to protect her people but the Guardian is willing to do whatever it takes to make things right, even at the expense of her own health.

It was like we were playing a sick game of chess, trying to guess each others movement's and at the same time, worrying about our own. I didn't have a choice and was forced to say "Game on bitch." -------------------------------- Life for Juniper was never easy, even as a child. Her family was complicated, and she herself has always suffered from mental illneses that made her days hard enough as it was, not just for her but for her drug addict skitzophrenic father and bipolar alcoholic mother. As she kept growing up, the world around her became darker and darker until, at the age of sixteen, a man with a dark shadow and distorted, spine chilling voice infiltrated her nightmares, with the promise to bring her agony and pain if she did not do as he said. Now, Juniper is forced to act fast, for her life hangs by a thread. She must uncover the truth of her past, look past the lies of her parents and her own childhood, and fill in the blanks whilst dealing with loud voices in her head, shadows that follow her every move, and a man who she must obey in order to save her sanity, her life and herself. The question still remains, who is this strange man who threatens her very existence? Will she be able to stop him before he kills her, before he traps her in the darkness forever? Will she whistand the torture, will she handle it all? Or will she snap, will she bend and break like her father did, and his father before him? Because, after all, we are all fragile humans, there is only so much we can take. -------------------------------- * Contains swearing, may be triggering and is undergoing mayor editing . * Best Ranking: #1- Skitsofrenia #2- Alluring
The Giant War: Immovable Objects by SadBraveHero
27 parts Complete
Long before the extraordinary was vanquished and confined to the realm of children's tales, giants walked the Earth. Sixteen feet tall, powerful, long lived, they hunted the colder regions of Northern Europe in tight nomadic tribes, thriving unchallenged... Until a tiny, clever, mindlessly aggressive, voraciously reproducing competitor invaded their habitat. In such confrontations, Darwinian rules predicted unavoidable conflict. The odds would have favored the tiny invaders. The giants' formidable strength would not have been enough to overcome their adversary's sheer numbers. After enough battles the choice for these immense beings must have been obvious-- Flee or be annihilated. Some chose oblivion, giving birth to the glorious bedtime stories in our lore... Others fled. Hiding from view, keeping to the outskirts, they searched for a sanctuary so remote, so desolate and so uninviting, that their relentless persecutors wouldn't bother with it. Eventually they settled within the ice of the great glaciers of Antarctica, establishing a peaceful, isolated colony that flourished undisturbed for centuries. Then a clever scientist mixed up a batch of Rare Earth Elements and created a superconducting material that could corral as much energy as the sun could throw at it as long as it stayed around the temperature of ice. The invention instantly transformed the Last Continent into a lucrative chunk of real estate. Humans and their machinery poured in, domesticating the wild frontier spreading like lava over ice, probing every nook and corner. Inevitably they collided with the hidden giants. Only this time there was no place left for them to run... This time there would be war.

A lesbian Romance : : : : I grumbled awake, feeling my body in a weird posture, and my eyes opened to find a flock of black strands for a wall. It didn't take long for my eyes to register that my arms couldn't move. I shift my head around, attempting to push the strand away, but my now-ragged breath was ineffective. I wasn't really bewildered. I knew just where I was. I knew I was bound to the blasted head board. Karib thinks this was a game? I had successfully pulled the strands away to see just that. My hands spread out like a bird's wing, with both wrists connected to the head board. My eyebrows furrowed as I quickly became aware that I was nude. My respiration quickened, as though I were pursuing my own shadow. I wasn't lying on my back. I was on my knees, my back arched, and I trembled as I realized my entire lower body was exposed to her. "Karib!" I shouted in a panic.
