STORY SYNOPSIS:

SUMMARY:
The day after Iris Jacobs attempts to commit suicide, her high school principal calls her into the office. Instead of assigning her to attend in-school therapy, the principal blackmails Iris to enlist in a top-secret government program that may lead to her certain death anyway.

As Iris discovers secrets about the agency and its leader, Director Callahan, she is faced with a force much scarier than government conspiracy: love. Two of the recruits, Gladden and Jesse, pursue Iris' heart while she fights her own social anxiety to just find the right words to say.
