How you ended up being trained into jedi knighthood a few years after the great purge, while constantly on the lookout for ex-imperials, to being a dishwasher for a bartender was a long story. Now the biggest questions was, how did you trust a stranger so quickly? A Mandalorian ex-bounty hunter out of all people. Why was he so overprotective of this green-skinned creature who he claims is his own child? You tried to connect the dots. Stay hidden from the imps and work as an underpaid dishwasher until you hairs turn grey? Or leave with the Mandalorian? Leave with the Mandalorian it is... And hope that he doesn't kill you. The Foundling
Din Djarin must defend the child against dark Force wielders who would gladly take the little one off his hands. He will have to decide whether to trust some new allies, for the safety of the child. Note: This was written before season 2 of The Mandalorian came out. I wanted to throw together some characters from different Star Wars series and see how they'd interact. Turns out, a couple of them did end up meeting. In this story, they get to go on a whole adventure. They learn some things about each other and about themselves along the way, which is often painful, but could create bonds of trust if that's what they choose. Getting into these characters' heads and exploring the Force and the galaxy far far away have been an amazing ride. I finished this story on May the 4th, 2020. Then later, my friends urged me to polish it up and put it out there. So here it is for anyone who would enjoy it! It's not meant to replace anything that's going on in the show (which has been amazing so far, by the way). It's just an exploration and speculation on these characters and their universe. This is a fanfiction. The universe, most of the characters, and most of the locales belong to Star Wars. If you search a character or planet on Wookieepedia and it comes up with nothing, chances are I made them up (because I checked, too, before I gave them names). However, they were sometimes partly inspired by existing characters or planets in Star Wars. My use of the mando'a language was inspired by its use in Karen Traviss's Republic Commando novels (which I highly recommend if you want to learn some things about Mandalorian culture . . . And they're good stories.)Complete
