A new retelling of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Roman and Julia is about two highschoolers who's theater class is torn apart because they can't agree on the correct interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. One group thinks it's a cautionary tale about the stupidity of youth and shallow lust while the other believes it's a beautiful tragedy about hatred conquered by love. Ending this argument seems inevitable -Then a person from one group falls in love with someone from the other.
