Zurie is as old as time and has seen just as much. Before being cast out of Heaven, and becoming a demon in the eyes of God's Divine Law, she was an Angel. With a dark past and a secret that she will do anything to protect from Alice, Zurie struggles to continue living when her life was shrouded in darkness and tears.
Alice is a little girl who accidentally runs into Zurie in a graveyard. After using her demon-ness to curse her abusive parents for life, she forms an unheard of bond with the demon girl. As the human world and the afterlife clash, she finds herself in danger that only Zurie can protect her from.
As the two come closer and closer, their enemies do as well. Secrets that could betray their trust, Angles after Zurie, and a mysterious man who tries to assassinate Alice are only the most trivial of their problems. The thing that freaks both of them out the most is the love they feel.
