Mix Feelings

Maddie lives in the Colony of Etheis where the people there are poor. She strives, everyday, trying to find things that will keep her family alive. She lives with a family of four: Abigel, her older sister; James, her older brother; Nikki, her mother and Jake, her father. Her older brother and sister both went off into another colony, where they got selected into an academy. As Maddie was finding things to help her family survive, she met this boy. She realized
that the boy was not from the colony. They became great friends until he had to leave. He told Maddie this before he lift "We will met up again one day and until that day..." Five years later, there was this selection, of course Maddie knew about it. The selection is when teenage men and women go off to this academy where they can learn new things. Not to mention that it's in a different colony. How will Maddie live her life in a new colony? Will she ever see that boy again?
