There are many gods in the world of Xertanix. Some have faded, and some are worshipped. None are fully ever forgotten, though. Somebody carries the fate of each God, passing it down their line for centuries. Only until that line dies, does a God truly die.
Each God is carried in a new way each life. Through a child's eyes, they see only a tiny mythical creature, in which the people of Xertanix call a Soulbound. This creature and human carry an immeasurable amount of power, yet are sewn in half to prevent impact in the Gods.
The Gods, though, know of the fact that these Soulbounds are merely figments of their powers, formed into vessels of beauty, mystery, and words undescribable.
But there is always a catch- if a Soulbound dies, a human can live on and find a new one. But, if a human dies their Soulbound follows with them. It has caused a great gap within them, and some Soulbound have gone rouge, to find exactly what it is, and leave her small life behind.
