Serpent's 
A page of destiny
torn from the anchor.
Weight translucent 
in the prisms of salt. 
The arc of spines
and the heave of breath.
Furrowed brows 
and bows of waves
crashing,
in a posthumous 
plea of anger.
Lost we take our
fate and burn from
the rope as it coils
like a snake ready
to take glory.
But hatches battened
and fear aside.
Terror and calm 
on a sea of Serpent's.
We win the day.
We loose the gold
from our hands but
we are richer and
fiercely determined 
in our gentle hearts.
