Welcome to the Daphne side and alternative stories in celebration of Daphne in the Thruple reaching 10000 reads! In this book I will present various side stories, shorts, and alternative stories related to Daphne in the Thruple. Shorts will be mostly flash fiction stories of 1000 words or less. Side stories will mostly be single chapter stories related to the three Daphne novels and will be labeled in a way that you know from which novel it connects. Lastly, we have alternative stories that may be from one to several chapters in length. They are as the name suggests, alternative scenarios of the main stories we have already seen! These stories will come out sporadically, but I plan on having at least one per month. This will be something for fans to read as I work on the longer novel promised at the end of each of my previous Daphne novels.
A Rainbow At The End of The World
The world was ending, which was a pretty major bummer. But, as Lucy and Malcolm saw it, at least they had each other, and also a working jeep. However, unlike most, they couldn't care less about why the world was ending. The two just wanted a place to lay low and make art. Sure, it was totally uncool that towns and cities all over the world were being burned to the ground due to mass hysteria, but the lovers were filled with enough positive vibes (and a decent amount of weed) that they vowed to make this whole 'end-of-the-world thing' work. Little did they realize that the fall of humanity would prove to be the most significant test of their twelve-year relationship. This surreal short story begins four months after the collapse first started, with the ostensibly lackadaisical couple only now managing to find a suitable shelter. Despite the safe haven, the chaotic cacophony of this cataclysmic event still lingers just on the other side of the walls. So, the lovers resolve to ward off the inevitable melancholy that usually follows such tragedies by simply ignoring the events outside, hoping that will keep their relationship (and sanity) from falling apart, unlike the rest of the world.Abgeschlossene Geschichte
