Ellery Lake (Elle) loves her life. Simple and boring, but she loves it. Fresh out of high school and soon to be in college, she's enjoying summer while she has the chance. Not to mention, her eighteenth birthday she's been planning for years. She wants it to be the best day of her life- one she'll never forget. But when Elle notices strange things going on with her self, she doesn't realize things can turn bad fast. Jonah Strayson walks into her life, along with Caleb Benson but she only pushes them away. Stuck between guys, Elle's distracted from reality. On her eighteenth birthday, an unexpected turn changes Elle's life- and might even end it. So maybe she will get a day she'll never forget; or one she'll never live to remember.

Everyone at school knows Melody Plum is the smartest, best-behaved girl at Sacred Heart. She's kind, quiet, and liked by both students and teachers. She's also one of the prettiest around and could easily become the most popular girl in school, if she cared about stuff like that. But Melody hates being the center of attention, so she hangs out with only a small, select group of friends, one of whom is Charlie Davenport, her best friend since kindergarten. Everyone agrees they could be such a cute couple since Charlie is obviously in love with her, but Melody is super-focused on her studies and doesn't really notice that stuff. Benjamin Davenport is everyone's favorite teacher and all the girls have a crush on him. He is gorgeous, well-dressed, really smart, and has the sexiest voice and British accent. Even some of the women teachers are in love with him, but he chooses to ignore them because he's happily married and has four children who also attend the school. Everyone thinks he has the most perfect family in town. What no one knows is that Melody has been in love with him for years, even though he's more than twice her age and the father of her closest friend in the world. She has never dreamed he would ever see her as a woman and accepts that she will be never be anything else to him but the best friend of his son. At least that's what she thinks. But Mr. Davenport has a secret, too. He has watched Melody grow up into a beautiful young woman over the years and what he is feeling for her now is decidedly not paternal...

39 parts Complete Mature

Autumn Sommers wants to forget what happened on the bus. It was three years ago, but avoiding Alex Wolf has become standard, especially since everyone knows about his secret sketchbook-and the drawings of her inside. The incident followed them from junior-high and now, in their sophomore year, the two have been paired on a project. Autumn just wants to get through it. She needs to maintain her grades to keep her terrible Aunt Milly from moving back in, but working with Alex might be impossible since they have to pretend to be a couple for their assignment. Forced to put their past on hold, the two focus on their fictitious relationship until the lines between real and fake get blurred, and they discover there might be some truth to the façade. But things have changed since seventh grade. Alex has a secret, and it could mean the end of their new friendship...and more. After everything they've been through, Autumn isn't sure she can go back to the way it was. With their project-and her heart-on the line, she'll need to prepare for whatever happens, even if it means a return to silence with the boy she wants the most.
