After a horrific accident, John Laurens is left in the hospital under critical conditions. Alexander, his husband, spends everyday he can by John's bedside. He stays until visiting hours are over and then he goes home, sleeps, wake ups, goes to work, then the hospital. This routine is hard, especially since they have three children, a sixteen year old, a fourteen year old, and a five year old, at home.
This book will focus a lot on the children as well. Lams isn't the only focus but most chapters will have Alexander talking to John.
