X-Files fan fiction.
Mulder and Scully both moved to Eggland to work for the British government, and then got themselves killed, which was bound to happen sooner or later.
This is the story of the month or two of secret investigations before their deaths.
I am a big fan of the X-Files, but I havnt watched nearly enough of it. Probably less than half, and I havnt seen the film. For that, I am sorry. I hang my head in shame.
This is based on what I remember about it, and what I think they'd most likely be up to now, in 2014.
If it doesn't tie in with the episodes you've seen, just ignore that.

A Broken Fox
Mulder is kidnapped by a female serial killer that has made her way into the X-Files. But the problem is, unlike usual, Scully doesn't rush in last minute and save him. She doesn't come and snatch him away from the horror. Nor does she come an hour late. Nor does she come the next day, even. In fact, she doesn't save him until a week later. A week of torture, pain, and constant fear. A week of constantly expecting Scully to kick the door down and save him. A week that destroys Fox Mulder's mind. Mulder thinks that he can handle it, but it soon becomes evident that he can't. And the worst part? "The girl who waited and the last centurion," I tested their nicknames on my lips, hoping to get a small flicker of happiness, but I was only met by the weight on my heart doubling.
